🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,

This week we will start with a new theme called “Green Earth”. This particular week we will learn about nature and how to care for it. Currently there are environmental problems since our environment is constantly undergoing changes and alterations of various industrial causes. Therefore, it is important for children to get to know all the components and resources of the earth: rivers, volcanos, rocks, etc.  Children will also discover how to cultivate love for nature and how to care for it.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme in order to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio and emotional skills.

·         Bring a rock for Thursday, February 2^nd activity. We will do artwork with those.

🔆 Friendly Reminders

·         Wash your hands and your child’s hands once you enter the classroom as part of your child’s everyday routine.

·         Make sure that your child has extra set of clothing labeled with your child’s name that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

·         Bring diapers or pullups, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name.

·         Read and review your child’s journal.

·         Do not forget to sign up for the traveling pet activity.

This week we will learn about the means of communication including mass media. We will talk about the newspaper, the magazines, the landline, the mobile phone, the movies and the radio. We have scheduled exciting and fun learning activities that will help to strengthen motor, language and cognitive/sensorial skills.

Weekly Featured Theme: We are artists!

Week: January 9^th to January 13^th, 2017

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,

This week we will learn about being artists. Children will exhibit all the art projects that they have been working in the last months. They will show how they have developed their capacity of expression and creativity.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme in order to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio, emotional skills. The work represents freely drawings and children were able to express what they wanted by painting freely. 

We would like to invite the parents to the Monitos classroom for our art exhibit that will take place from January 9^th through January 13^th, 2017. Children will be so excited if all parents join us and visit.
