What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. New month calls always for a new theme “My Body and Me”. This week we will discuss and discover interesting facts about our bodies. Children will learn the different parts of the body. They will be able to name and locate them. At home, please review with your child their body parts.

We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through fun experiences.

We will appreciate if you bring a family picture and an individual student picture of your child if you have not done yet.

Thank you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope you have a great weekend.

  • Labor Day on Monday, September 4th, 2017. School will be closed.

  • Grandparents Day Celebration on Friday, September 8th, 2017.

  • Picture Day on Monday, September 18th, 2017 at all Sff! locations.

Friendly Reminders


  • Wash your hands and your child’s hands when entering the classroom and help your child to find his/her seat.

  • Read your child’s journal, blogs and Friday Newsletter.

  • Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

  • Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

  • Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

  • Make sure to have enough pull-ups or diapers in the cubby for the day.

  • Label all bottles and food or lunch box that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place in the kitchen. If any of these items require to be refrigerated, please put it inside the refrigerator.

  • Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

This week we will continue with our theme is “My School and I”. Children will continue exploring the different areas of school and the staff the work in the school. Day by day children will adapt and adjust to their new routine. Children will also review our classroom rules. We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through fun experiences that will allow them to learn more about their classmates. Children will learn what their classmate like such as their favorite color and their favorite toys. We will appreciate that you bring a family picture and an individual student picture of your child with all about me questionnaire if you have not done yet.

 What we are learning?Dear Parents,
 We hope you are having a beautiful week. We are excited to welcome all students to our new school year 2017-2018. This month our theme is “My School and I”. This coming week children will experience and explore the school, our school routine and classroom. It will be a week of adaptation and adjustment. Children will also learn about our classroom rules and their responsibilities.
 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through fun experiences they participate with their classmates.

Little Magicians and Clowns

Weekly Feature Theme: Little Magicians and Clowns
Week: August 7th, 2017 to August 11th, 2017
 What we are learning?Dear Parents,
 We hope you are having a beautiful week. This is our last week of summer camp and we want to make sure children have fun while learning.  This week children will enjoy being little magicians and clowns.
 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will participate in crazy hair day activity and we will have a wonderful party where children will share memories with classmates while having an amazing time.  Below we are listing extra activities that we will be participating during our last week such as:
 ·         Pretending to be magicians.
·         Painting our faces like clowns.
·         Participating in a puppet show of elephants.

·         Make sure to keep in your child’s cubby a pair of glasses and a summer hat.
·         Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Make sure to send a towel and a tote bag for wet items. Label and pack all these items in the tote bag.
·         Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a tote bag.
